Dr.Cheryl Berry
Dr. Cheryl Berry has been a licensed chiropractor for eighteen years.
Dr. Cheryl experienced chiropractic following the cesarean birth of her daughter 26 years ago. Having been an avid runner and fitness advocate, she was unable to resume her full physical activities due to persistent low back spasms. Chiropractic not only gave back her quality of life, it also changed Dr. Chery's view of how health and disease are created, as well as her commitment to raising her family by honoring the natural healing capacity of the body.
Dr. Cheryl's background and studies include chiropractic, exercise physiology, and psychology. Her experience has been diverse working with apparently healthy people to those with specific health concerns such as cardiac, pulmonary, diabetes and high cholesterol. She developed the Fitness Testing Program at the Naval Station in San Diego, performed treadmill testing and taught lectures for the Executive Health Program at Scripps in La Jolla, taught numerous group exercise programs, as well as working as a student in the Adult Fitness Program at San Diego State University.
Dr. Cheryl has always strived for health and wellness. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that her chiropractic practice is based on a vitalistic wellness model and a 'gentle whole person approach' when taking care of her clients of all ages. By combining her head, hands and her heart, Dr. Cheryl believes health and wellness is a journey of 'progress and improvement...not perfection.'
